Doug Dibert Jr. | My Story

Where It All Began

My story starts long before MagnfI. long before entrepreneurship and even long before AI reshaped the world. It began back in Detroit, when I was a young film student interning at a top 10 television news station. creative, curious, and completely captivated by the power of story. I didn’t know it then, but God was already preparing the path ahead of me, piece by piece, teaching me to see the world through the lens of meaning and message.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in film and soon after married my beautiful wife, Jennifer, the girl I met in film school, the one who pushed me creatively, believed in me deeply, and walked with me through every season life has brought.

We married on June 19th, 2004. Today, we have four incredible kids who are truly the greatest blessing of my life.

If there’s a north star I try to live by, it’s this: success begins with being a faithful husband and father. Everything else builds on that foundation.

Television news taught me how to tell a story, how to move fast, how to communicate under pressure. But being immersed in negativity day after day began to weigh heavy on my spirit. I knew I was wired to create stories that lifted people up not stories that added to the darkness.

So I stepped out in faith and started filming weddings, events, and corporate stories. And then something happened that shifted everything. I began creating documentary-style wedding films long before that was a trend. I played with YouTube embed code back when Facebook didn’t have a video player staying up late, experimenting, trying new things. One night, after posting a wedding sneak peek trailer, I woke up to a flooded inbox, thousands of video plays, and more clients than I could handle.

It felt like confirmation. A reminder that when you use your gifts with excellence, opportunity meets you halfway. That moment taught me something foundational:

'Video matters, but it’s the story inside the video that moves people.

And when story meets technology, impact multiplies."

Letting Go of Comfortable and Saying Yes to Calling

When we moved to Columbus, Ohio, I entered a bigger market with more competition. At first, I sold myself strictly as a video production company. But business owners kept pulling me deeper into conversations about sales challenges, marketing roadblocks, and their customer journey.

I wasn’t just creating videos.

I was helping them solve problems.
I was helping them grow.
I was helping them think more clearly.

I realized I wasn’t a “video guy.”
I was a strategist who used video as a tool.

That realization changed everything.

I hired a business coach.
I built a team.
I created systems.

And I started leaning into a simple but powerful question that still drives me today: “Can you imagine…?”

Those three words break people out of limitation and into possibility.

The Shift From “Video Guy” to “Strategy Partner”

As smartphones improved, people began asking if they could send me clips they shot themselves. At first, I wasn’t thrilled. I loved polished cinematic production. But something in me said:

“Pay attention. Don’t resist. Innovate.”

I kept thinking about Henry Ford’s famous line:

“You can have any color car you want, as long as it’s black.”

  • Systemization.

  • Repeatability.

  • Scale.

And that’s when the idea hit me:

What if we could systematize video production? What if ordinary people could create consistent, high-quality videos without hiring a production team?

I found brilliant developers, and together we built the early version of what became Magnfi. Later, when I exited my agency and honored my non-compete, I entered a season of consulting that stretched me and deepened my understanding of business. Sales, leadership, communication, and strategy.

Then came the calls from digital marketing agencies.

At first, I resisted white-labeling. But the signs were too aligned to ignore. Magnfi needed to become an agency-first, white-label platform. So we rebuilt it from the ground up to help agencies offer scalable video services:

  • Video testimonials

  • Video email & SMS

  • Simple branded videos

  • Expert tip videos

  • FAQ videos

  • YouTube optimization

  • Social video content

  • Full-scale client video offerings

Today, agencies worldwide use MAGNFI to generate recurring revenue, build deeper client relationships, and offer video services that were once impossible to scale.

The Birth of Magnfi

As AI exploded, everything shifted. Businesses felt overwhelmed. Sales teams felt the pressure. Marketing got louder and more chaotic. That’s when I realized something important: companies didn’t need more tools.  They needed wisdom. They needed strategy. They needed a guide

So today, alongside Magnfi’s platform, my team and I serve businesses as Fractional CMOs and strategic growth partners. We help them:

  • Build marketing systems that actually work

  • Shorten their sales cycle using content

  • Answer objections before the meeting even happens

  • Integrate AI responsibly

  • Clarify their identity and direction

  • Create trust-building content

  • Grow sustainably, not sporadically

Our aim is simple: Help businesses grow with purpose, integrity, and clarity.

From Tools to Transformation

Through every pivot and breakthrough, one truth remains:

My marriage and family are the heartbeat of my life. Faith keeps me grounded and aligned. I don’t talk about it loudly, but it shapes every decision quietly. It influences my leadership, my communication, and how I build companies.

I’m not perfect. But I’m committed to growing as a husband, father, business owner, and man.

The Foundation That Supports It All

If you’re reading this, here’s what I want you to hear:

You are capable of far more than the limits you’ve accepted. Your business. Your leadership. Your impact. Your capacity for growth. Your ability to change. Growth doesn’t begin with tools. It begins with imagination, clarity, and courage.

So ask yourself:

Can you imagine what’s possible for your life and business? Can you imagine leading with confidence? A sales process that feels simple and believable? Marketing that actually works? Building something that supports your family and blesses your community? My story isn’t about platforms. It’s about possibility. It’s about purpose. It’s about stepping into who you were created to be both at home and in business. If I can help you get there. I’d be honored.

Let’s imagine what’s possible together.
